Glossary of Terms

Street Exit: A person who has left the street and has moved on to some form of shelter or someone who has left the City of Newport Beach.

City Net Invoice: Monthly payments to City Net for outreach, engagement and case management services for the homeless population.

Be Well OC Invoice: Monthly payments to Be Well OC for the Be Well Mobile Crisis Team’s assistance with addressing mental, behavioral and substance use issues in Newport Beach, as well as proactive engagement of the local homeless population. The team connects people to treatment facilities, crisis stabilization units, shelters, and other pertinent services to end their homelessness. Be Well OC began a new service model on Sept. 1, per a new agreement with the City of Newport Beach.

Homeless Services Manager Expenses: Expenses related to supporting homeless people in bridge living arrangements, move-in items for permanent housing and family reunification travel expenses.

PD Expenses: Newport Beach Police Department expenses related to supporting homeless people in bridge living arrangements, move-in items for permanent housing and family reunification travel expenses.

Quarterly Payments to the Costa Mesa Bridge Shelter: Quarterly payments are part of our arrangement with the City of Costa Mesa for access to shelter beds, housing navigation and supportive services at the Costa Mesa Bridge Shelter.
